As a University based gym, Unigym has the advantage of offering subsidised memberships for the University and broader community.
This enables Unigym to deliver a more affordable and wider range of quality fitness options and as a result, you receive the rewards of a cheaper gym membership with all the extra benefits of a multi-sport complex.
Membership options
Unigym memberships are structured to be flexible to your fitness needs including:
- Full memberships
- Subsidised memberships for University of Tasmania students, staff, alumni and community seniors.
- Gold and Bronze options.
- 12 month student memberships start from as little as $310 (full membership includes gym, fitness classes and court hire).
- 12 month community memberships start from as little as $583
- Free gym program developed with personal trainer included with full Unigym memberships
- Family membership discounts also apply.
- Multi visit passes / short term memberships
- three and six monthly membership options
- ten session passes available starting from as little as $85 for a ten session card.
- Casual fees start from $10 per session and may include;
- gym access
- fitness classes
- court hire sessions
- Facilities Membership (Annual fee)
- $10 for UTAS staff and students
- $50 for all other patrons OR
- $10/month for all other patrons

Special memberships/session cards
Unigym also offers special memberships to cater for members who wish to use a specific aspect of Unigym.
