School programs

Unigym Hobart delivers a diverse range of school programs catering for all levels from Primary through to Secondary College.

Unigym’s school programs are based on the Tasmanian Education Department’s Health and Wellbeing Curriculum contributing to both fitness participation rates of students and the learning syllabus.

Programs of one hour sessions through to weekly camps are focused around the five elements of health and wellbeing to assist students in establishing lifelong and healthy behaviours.

Unigym works closely with schools to develop a unique and customised program to build the foundations of health and fitness and create an enjoyable and fun environment for participants.

Educational, fun and motivating, Unigym’s school programs guarantee to challenge and motivate young minds and bodies and promote the importance of health and fitness to a balanced lifestyle.

The school programs on offer present a holistic approach to wellbeing incorporating fitness testing and analysis, an introduction to utilising community facilities, assistance towards developing a basic fitness program and health discussions.

Unigym school programs may involve the following:

  • Highly specialised and customised programs to meet specific requirements of your school.
  • New sport demonstration
  • Fitness classes including Fitball, circuit training, Powerbar, Step and aerobics
  • Sports – tennis, football, indoor soccer, indoor netball, badminton, volleyball, basketball and squash.
  • Fitness Testing – full fitness assessments including comparisons with norms and averages of Tasmanian schools*
  • Weight room training including introductory and progressive programs
  • Competitive rosters
  • Team building activities
  • Relaxation classes
  • ‘Maintaining Wellbeing’ – a discussion about making healthy life choices.*
